Portland Street Block Party: Sunday, May 20th, 1 PM – 4 PM – The people who live on Portland Street in Haverhill have it rough: absentee landlords, a neglected park, few activities for children and limited resources.  However, even in the midst of the challenges of living on the edge, there are people who are starting to take pride in the neighborhood, who take pride in how their street looks and who want their community to improve.

The neighborhood centers around a small playground in the middle of the block.  The playground regularly has trash and debris, graffiti on the backboard of the basketball net, and can be an unsafe place for children to play.

We have the opportunity to bless folks in this neighborhood.  On Sunday, May 20th, you have the opportunity to join with The Vine in making it one of the best afternoons that the people living on that street have experienced all year.  We’ll clean up Portland St. Playground, have a block party and barbecue, hand out cookies and balloons to residents, and show people what God’s love looks like when it’s lived out on the street.  To sign up or for more information, visit our Block Party Page.

Game Night – 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month at Sweet Things Bakery-Cafe (108 Washington St. in downtown Haverhill) from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Bring a friend and bring a game to this family-friendly night of fun and games.  Refreshments are provided courtesy of Sweet Things.  All are welcome!  Next game night is: Friday, may 11th at 6 PM.

Vine Worship Gathering – 3rd Saturday of every month (generally).   All are welcome to attend regardless of who you are and where you come from.  Our next worship gathering is Sunday, May 20th at 5 PM at 471 Main St. in Haverhill following our Block Party!
